Islamic Evidence for Umrah Badal

The permissibility of performing Hajj or Umrah on behalf of another is established in authentic narrations.

A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said:
“My mother had vowed to perform Hajj but she died before performing it. May I perform Hajj on her behalf?”

The Prophet ﷺ replied:
“Perform Hajj on her behalf. If your mother had a debt, would you not pay it? Pay Allah’s debt, for He has more right to be fulfilled.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

This highlights the importance and validity of fulfilling acts of worship on behalf of others.

Who Performs the Umrah?

All Umrah Badal services are carried out under the supervision of our Shari’ah advisory team, consisting of qualified and experienced scholars based in the holy lands.

Our team:

• Carefully selects suitable individuals to perform the Umrah
• Ensures they have completed their own Umrah
• Oversees the process from start to completion
• Maintains proper documentation and verification

How the Umrah Badal is Performed

Your appointed representative will:

• Enter Ihram with the intention (niyyah) on behalf of your loved one
• Perform Tawaf (7 rounds around the Ka‘bah)
• Complete Sa’i between Safa and Marwah
• Carry out the full Umrah with sincerity and care

Those representing from Makkah will typically enter Ihram from Masjid Aisha, while those travelling from Madinah will do so from Masjid Dhul Hulayfah, in accordance with the Sunnah.

• You will receive a confirmation and receipt
• We allow approximately 7–10 days for completion, Insha’Allah
• You will receive video confirmations at key stages where possible with the names being read out and dua being made, including:
  • Intention (Ihram)
  • Tawaf
  • Completion of Sa’i
